Partnering with The Felix Project: Reducing Waste, Helping Families

Fern House School is proud to partner with The Felix Project, an incredible food redistribution charity. They rescue surplus food, which is perfectly good to eat but would otherwise go to waste, and deliver it to schools and charities across London.

The Schools Programme: Making a Difference Together

The Felix Project's Schools Programme is a nationwide initiative that empowers schools to actively reduce food waste and its significant environmental impact, such as CO2 and methane emissions. Through this partnership, we'll work with The Felix Project to:

    • Raise awareness about food waste among our pupils and community.
    • Develop practical skills for reducing waste at school and at home.
    • Take tangible action against food waste, making a real difference!

Weekly Food Deliveries for Our Families

Thanks to The Felix Project, we receive a delivery of fresh produce every Monday. This food will be made available to you after school on the same day. This means your child may bring home a "Felix bag" filled with a variety of healthy foods and drinks. Our aim is always to provide nutritious options for your family.

By simply using this food and preventing it from going to landfill, you will be preventing the same amount of environmental damage as a car driving around the globe twice every year! It's a powerful way we can all contribute to a healthier planet.
