Coronavirus (Covid-19) update
As of January 2021 the school is now completing on site testing for both staff and pupils in key stage 3 and key stage 4 in line with the governments track and trace scheme. Please note we are unable to test key stage 2 pupils at this time. Its important to add that we do not test anybody without parental permission and the testing is entirely voluntary. We have sent out a consent form click here and also please click here for data protection and some FAQ's
For further information we must remember that the UK is now in a National Lockdown
This means:-
You must not meet socially indoors with anybody you do not:
- live with
- have a support bubble with
Unless a legal exemption applies.
‘Indoors’ means any indoor setting, including:
- private homes
- other indoor venues such as pubs and restaurants
If you break the rules:-
The police can take action against you if you meet in larger groups. This includes breaking up illegal gatherings and issuing fines (fixed penalty notices).
You can be given a fixed penalty notice of £200 for the first offence, doubling for further offences up to a maximum of £6,400. If you hold, or are involved in holding, an illegal gathering of over 30 people, the police can issue fines of £10,000.
Unfortunately, this also means restricting the number of visitors into school. If you need to speak to any member of staff, please contact the school office or email office@fernhouseschool.org. The school office will mainly be accessible via phone and email only.

Fern House School is part of the Enfield Learning Trust, where everyone strives to ensure that all our pupils achieve more than they ever believed possible. At Fern House School, we pride ourselves on providing young people with opportunities to develop an increased understanding of themselves, their relationships with others and the world around them. As an all-through specialist provision for pupils aged 7-16 with social, emotional, mental health needs (SEMH), we provide personalised learning within safe, nurturing and stimulating environments. We seek to unlock the potential in every child.
Everything we do can be simply defined by our school motto:
Relationship for the Heart
Experience for the Mind
Ready for the Future
We are currently co-located with Chesterfield Primary School and we share the site and wide range of facilities which are available. Our location on this site is temporary whilst we await the completion of our newly built state of the art school.
